    Bio

    Asher Khan is a global artist with a universal appeal as his art captures the finer moments of human existence.
    Growing up in multiple countries, and later traveling extensively all over the globe, his early experiences of diverse cultures have shaped the lens through which he views the world.
    As a Pakistani American artist raised in the Middle East and Midwest, now residing in the Lone Star State, we see hints of every part of the world incorporated in his work.

    His vantage point as a keen observer of society around him is evident in almost all his paintings where we see him celebrate the diversity as well as the unity of human experiences.

    Asher’s art is inspired by not only the beauty of earth, but also by the people who inhabit it. He believes that he has been fortunate as his journey has allowed him to see and experience multiple ways of life- inspiring him to replicate the same beauty in his artwork. Therefore, he ascribes the diversity in his painting to his rich experiences that allow him to draw from an endless pool of inspiration.
    Asher strongly believes that his experience as an artist has been a journey, an adventure, and a path to self-discovery so far. He hopes that along the way, he can create pieces that help viewers find food for thought, comfort for their souls, and peace for their hearts.

    Artist Statement

    Since the first time I picked up a paintbrush, each stroke I have painted has taught me more about not only the craft but about myself as an artist. Like almost all diverse artists, I have dabbled in multiple forms of art. I am humbled by the recognition and love I have received for my work in different mediums such as oil on canvas, textures, and metal sheet art. As an artist, I believe in evolution. My artwork reflects the same driving principle behind each painting. As an artist, I capture human emotions, human experiences, defining moments of history, ethnic ways of life, and the beauty of nature. I hope that my art invites viewers to reflect, ponder, and take a moment to truly appreciate the wonder in everyday life as well. This is why I believe in creating original and unique pieces. No two of my paintings are alike; they all stem from concepts as unique as our experiences. Each work is almost a screenshot of my thoughts and experiences in life at that point in time. With each work of art, I hope to evoke emotions and invite viewers to challenge their perception of the world, critique mine, and find beauty in my work that is for the viewer to make their own.
